Currently, Tak Inagaki is completing a screenplay involving a young Japanese woman and her journey through an intense love affair with a young Afro-American. It is based on a recent best-selling non-fiction book. The story is set in New York City.
Plans for a four-part television series featuring a young Japanese woman who visits her brother in New York City and ultimately finds herself are also underway.
Tak Inagaki has been working on a musical adaptation based on a ninth century Japanese fairy tale, tentatively titled The Moon Princess and the Most Beautiful Song in the Universe.
He is seeking the opportunity to work on a feature-length film adaptation of the seventeenth century Chinese tale known as Xiyouji . It features a rambunctious monkey who accompanies and protects with his magic a Buddhist monk on his journey to India via the Silk Road to bring back the first Buddhist scriptures to China.
